Every summer, the Town of Hempstead presents a series of concerts featuring your favorite cover bands and tribute acts. Residents can also enjoy a live production of Mamma Mia!, the beloved musical, in July.

Check out the schedule of events below to plan how to spend your evenings this summer.

June 29

Veteran’s Salute – That ’70s Band (www.that70sbandlive.com) with fireworks at Town Park Point Lookout, 1300 Lido Blvd., Lido Beach, NY 11561. Rain date June 30. 

July 10

You will “Feel the Love Tonight” with Sir Elton an Elton John Tribute at Newbridge Road Park, 2600 Newbridge Rd., Bellmore, NY 11710.

July 11

Take a “Holiday” with Material Girl featuring Amber Ferrari (www.amberferrari.com) as she pays tribute to Madonna, Lady Gaga and others at Forest City Park, 3099 Morgan Dr, Wantagh, NY 11793.

July 12

The Doobie Others (www.thedoobieotherstributeband.com) will be “Takin’ it to the Streets” with the hits of the Doobie Brothers at Seamans Neck Park, 2700 S Seamans Neck Rd., Seaford, NY 11783.

July 16

You are going to want to “Walk this Way” to hear Last Child (www.facebook.com/LastChildAerosmithBand) pay tribute to Aerosmith at Averill Blvd Park, 145 Averill Blvd., Franklin Square, NY 11010. 

July 17

“Say, Say, Say” it’s going to be a great night as Sir Paul (www.sirpaulband.com) plays the hits of Paul McCartney at Rock Hall Museum, 199 Broadway, Lawrence, NY 11559. 

July 18

A Plaza Theatrical Production (www.plazatheatrical.com) of Mamma Mia! at Oceanside Park, 3800 Mahlon Brower Dr., Oceanside, NY 11572. Show begins at 7:30 p.m. 

July 19

No need to cruise the Miracle Mile… Songs in the Attic – the music of Billy Joel featuring David Clark (www.billyjoeltributeny.com) will be performing here for the Town of Hempstead at the East Village Green, Levittown. 

July 23

Teresa McClean (www.teresamcclean.com) performs the hits from Dusty Springfield to Connie Francis and Celine Dion to Whitney Houston at Mill Brook, Valley Stream. 

July 24

Dance the night away with Kamellot (www.facebook.com/KamellotBand) at Coes Neck Park, 1240 Coes Neck Rd., Baldwin, NY 11510. 

July 25

There will be “A Moon Out Tonight” as The Capris (www.thecapris.net) go back in time at Rath Park, 849 Fenworth Blvd., Franklin Square, NY 11010. 

July 26

We will have to wait “Till Then” to see Emil Stucchio & the Classics (www.emilstucchioandtheclassics.com) at Hewlett Point Park, 130 Hewlett Point Ave., East Rockaway, NY 11518. 

July 30

Let’s show a little “R.E.S.P.E.C.T.” as the Aretha Franklin Tribute Show the Atlantic Years (www.arethafranklintribute.com) pays tribute the Queen of Soul, Ms. Aretha Franklin at Echo Park, 399 Nassau Blvd., West Hempstead, NY 11552. 

July 31

You will be “Hooked on a Feeling” with 45 RPM (www.45rpmny.com). Come see the Happiest Band on Earth at Merrick Road Park, Merrick. 

August 1

Enjoy the sounds of “Motown” & more with Jerome “City” Smith (www.citysoundsmusic.com) at Harold Walker Memorial Park, 1085 Woodfield Rd., Rockville Centre, NY 11570. 

August 2

The “Ramblin’ Man” will be in town as the Allmost Brothers (www.theallmostbrothersband.com) pays tribute to the Allman Brothers at Shell Creek Park, 1 Vanderbilt Ave., Island Park, NY 11558. 

August 3

We welcome you with “Open Arms” as Any Way You Want It (www.facebook.com/AJourneyTributebandAnyWayYouWantit) perform the hits of Journey Tribute. Fireworks will end the night at Baldwin Park, 3232 Grand Ave., Baldwin, NY 11510. Concert begins at 7:30 p.m. 

August 6

There will be “Nowhere to Run” when the Ladies of Motown (www.drksmotownrevue.com) hit the stage at Uniondale Avenue Park, 710 Uniondale Ave., Uniondale, NY 11553.

August 7

Enjoy the sounds of Motown and more with Jerome “City” Smith (www.citysoundsmusic.com) at Roosevelt Pool, Roosevelt. 

August 8

You will feel “Wonderful Tonight” as Bell Bottom Blues (www.thebellbottomblues.com) plays the hits of Eric Clapton at Speno Park, 745 E Meadow Ave., East Meadow, NY 11554. 

August 9

You’ll be Dancing when the NY Bee Gees (www.newyorkbeegees.com) perform the hits of the Bee Gees at East Village Green, Levittown. 

August 13

Dance and rock the night away with Witch’s Brew (www.awitchsbrew.com) at Oceanside Park, 3800 Mahlon Brower Dr., Oceanside, NY 11572. 

August 14

A night of Klezmer music with Metropolitan Klezmer band (www.metropolitanklezmer.com) at Rock Hall Museum, 199 Broadway, Lawrence, NY 11559. 

August 15

“We’re Truckin’” with a little “Sugar Magnolia” as Half Step (www.halfstepgd.com) performs the hits of the Grateful Dead at Echo Park, 399 Nassau Blvd., West Hempstead, NY 11552. 

August 16

From Sinatra to Bocelli, enjoy the sounds of the classic pop tenor Elio Scaccio (www.elioscaccio.com) at Rath Park, 849 Fenworth Blvd., Franklin Square, NY 11010. 

August 20

There will be “Something in the Air” as PsuedoSudio (www.facebook.com/PseudoSsudio) performs the hits of Phil Collins at Merrick Road Park, Merrick. 

August 21

You will want to “Take It Easy” as Desert Highway (www.deserthighwayband.com) plays the hits of the Eagles at Seamans Neck Park, 2700 S Seamans Neck Rd., Seaford, NY 11783. 

August 22

There will be a “Heat Wave” as Blue Bayou (www.bluebayoutributeband.com) performs the hits of Linda Ronstadt at Hewlett Point Park, 130 Hewlett Point Ave., East Rockaway, NY 11518. 

August 23

Beginnings (www.beginningstributeband.com) is a “Hard Habit to Break” as they perform the hits of Chicago at Newbridge Road Park, 2600 Newbridge Rd., Bellmore, NY 11710. 

The schedule above may be subject to change. Concerts begin at 8 p.m., unless otherwise noted. Bring blankets and chairs for seating.
