signaturecaresAs part of its #SignatureCares initiative, and to mark the successful culmination of twenty-two days of the #22PushUpChallenge, Signature Premier Properties today announced they will present $20,000 checks to five nonprofit recipients of $100,000 in total funding to support Veterans Housing and Mental Health/Suicide Prevention in New York.

The presentation will take place on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, at 3 p.m. at the Huntington Country Club, located at 483 Main Street, Huntington.

“This effort was truly company-wide and supported by a multitude of our incredibly talented and generous brokers and agents,” said Peter Morris, founder of Signature Premier Properties. “Charitable giving is an integral part of Signature, and when we heard the unnerving statistic about daily suicide rates of Veterans, we knew we had to do something. The #22PushupChallenge isn’t monetized like the ALS Challenge was so- we decided to change that.”

Co-owner Kathy Kirby-Viard added, “We are honored to be presenting $20,000 checks to five organizations. Narrowing the list to was excruciatingly difficult because we kept being introduced to other wonderful charities, but these charities we feel are exceptional: Blue Star Families, Concern for Independent Living of Medford, NY, to support their aptly named Housing Our Heroes project in Central Islip; the Northport Veterans Affairs Medical Center of Northport, NY, to specifically provide HUD vouchers for housing; PGA Hope of Elmsford, NY; and Paws of War of Smithtown, NY.”
