Singer-songwriter David Cook rose to fame during the 2008 season of American Idol when he blew judges away night after night and ultimately made it to first place. He moved to Nashville in 2012 and immediately achieved success cowriting country tunes.
Released September 2015, Cook’s fourth studio album, Digital Vein, features singles “Criminals” and “Broken Windows” and showcases his powerful voice, compelling guitar skills and strong songwriting abilities.
This Friday, March 4, Cook appears at YMCA Boulton Center for the Arts in Bay Shore. Tickets cost $40 ($35 for VIP Club members) and for $90, fans can meet the artist after the show.
The YMCA Boulton Center is a 261-seat stadium-style theater that promises an intimate concert experience. The building began in the 1920s as The Regent Movie Theatre. It went through a colorful history before ultimately being purchased by local philanthropists Frank and Karen Boulton in 1997 and given to the Great South Bay YMCA.
Since 2003, the YMCA Boulton Center has provided arts programs that entertain, educate and inspire the culturally, racially and economically diverse population of Long Island.
In addition to David Cook, the impressive roster of upcoming acts includes nine-time Grammy award winning country and western band Asleep at the Wheel, widely acclaimed narrative songwriter Richard Shindell, blues pioneer John Mayall and five-time Grammy nominated electric guitarist Robben Ford.
