Apart from the New York State Senate’s “Veterans Hall of Fame”, which will be held virtually Senator Patricia Canzoneri-Fitzpatrick is now seeking nominations for an additional “Veterans Hall of Fame,” which will be held locally, within her district.
This event serves to pay tribute to and acknowledge extraordinary veterans of Senate District 9, who have exhibited exceptional qualities in their commitment to both their country and local communities.
“I am proud to represent so many distinguished veterans in the 9th State Senate District – including my own father, who is a Korean War veteran – and it is imperative that we honor their courageous actions of service. Hosting this ceremony is a small way to honor our local veterans and recognize the incredible sacrifices that they have made,” said Canzoneri-Fitzpatrick.
Senator Canzoneri-Fitzpatrick is currently accepting nominations, which will culminate in a ceremony to be held in November.
Nominations should include:
high-resolution photo
short biography highlighting the nominee’s military service
civilian service awards and achievements
For posthumous nominations, we kindly ask that the nominator reflect this circumstance in the biography. Nominations should be emailed to canzoneri@nysenate.gov no later than Oct. 2, 2023.
