The Ladies Kennel Association of America has donated a second disaster relief trailer to the Nassau County SPCA. Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano presented a citation to Evelyn Richler, president of the Ladies Kennel Association of America, for their generous donation of the American Kennel Club Pet Disaster Relief Trailer.

“I thank Evelyn Richler and the entire American Kennel Club and Ladies Kennel Associations for their generous donation to Nassau County,” said Mangano. “After Superstorm Sandy, we learned just how important protecting our four-legged friends is during an emergency; this trailer will go a long way.”

Each trailer is equipped with everything needed to care for 65 animals during an emergency.
