On Thursday, May 2, Carvel Ice Cream, the New York born and bred, first-of-its-kind ice cream franchise, will offer junior size cups and cones for only $0.85 each at all full-service shoppe locations nationwide in honor of the brand’s 85th birthday. Customers can choose from any soft-serve ice cream flavor available in-shoppe including vanilla, chocolate, cold brew coffee and more.

Eighty-five years ago, Carvel was created with the understanding that people always crave a happy escape. $0.85 Cone Day is being held as a way for Carvel to thank the fans who have brought Carvel into their lives over the years to make celebrations big and small that much sweeter.

To commemorate this milestone moment and give back to the fans and communities who have been loyal to Carvel from the start, Carvel will donate $10,000 to the American Red Cross’ Sound the Alarm campaign. Created to reduce home fire-related casualties, the Red Cross will hold events from April 27 through May 12 in 100 at-risk communities nationwide to install 100,000 free smoke alarms and provide education surrounding home fire safety. Carvel fans can make an additional donation via this link.
