Racing is (almost) in the air for race fans around the world with the 59th Annual Daytona 500 scheduled for Feb. 18-26. The historical need-for-speed event is part of a nine-day racing series, Speedweeks, culminating with the famed Daytona 500.

Perhaps most-exciting for fans is the announcement from two-time Daytona 500 Champion Dale Earnhardt, Jr. that he will return to competition in the 2017 race. Earnhardt, Jr. won in 2004 then again 10 years later in 2014.

The Daytona 500 is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 26, at 2 p.m.
