American writer and humorist Sam Ewing said: “Inflation is when you pay fifteen dollars for the ten-dollar haircut you used to get for five dollars when you had hair.”
Lemon Tree Family Salons throughout Long Island are bringing back the five-dollar haircut to help reduce back-to-school costs for parents and students, according to Jericho-based, Lemon Tree Development.
Lemon Tree is participating in the popular retro movement with this five-dollar haircut that was offered in mid-century salons and barber shops. “We like to give back to the community,” said John Romano, director of franchise operations of Lemon Tree Development. The offer is available at participating Lemon Tree salons, for children under eight-years-old, and a three-dollar off coupon for older kids and adults. Romano said parents should look for the coupons, which were mailed out in mid-August. They expire on Oct. 1.
