Woman Accused of Theft of $27,000 from Employer

Detectives announced the arrest of a Baldwin resident that occurred on June 19 at 12:05 p.m. for grand larceny.

According to detectives, Andrea Tils, 56, of 1032 thomas Avenue, while employed as a bookkeeper for Harry Koenig Importing Exporting Company at 7 Main Street, East Rockaway, allegedly stole funds totaling over $27,000 U.S. between March and June 2014. The investigation is ongoing.

Tils is charged with grand larceny in the third degree. She is scheduled to be arraigned on June 20 at the First District Court in Hempstead.
