Woman, 49, Killed in One-Vehicle Crash in Kings Park

Detectives are investigating a motor vehicle accident in which the driver was killed in Kings Park on July 9.

According to police, Anna Devecchis, 49, was driving a 2013 Nissan Rogue westbound on Route 25A when her vehicle apparently veered off the roadway, striking a tree at approximately 6:20 p.m. on June 9. Romero, was transported by Suffolk County Police helicopter to Stony Brook University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information on the crash is asked to contact police at 631-854-8552. All calls will remain confidential.
