Jewel Kilcher’s lyrics have always been raw, honest and straight from the heart. She credits growing up on the Alaskan homestead for the person she is today, and felt that now more than ever, she wanted to connect with her fans by showing them another side of her heart, one that is tied to home.
“As a singer-songwriter, I feel a sacred duty to be honest so people can see themselves in culture and it inspired me to make another record,” said the artist, who has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide. “I see a gap of how people feel and how they should feel in the arts and I’m writing another record because of that. It’s a privilege to be a singer and give honest emotions to what you’re going through.”
