West Hempstead Man Charged With Auto Theft

The Fourth Squad reports the arrest of a West Hempstead man for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in West Hempstead on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 3:56 p.m.

According to detectives, a Lojack alarm system directed Fourth Precinct Police Officers to 440 Forest Place for a possible stolen 2008 Nissan. Police say Pedro Arguinzoni, 39, was observed in the driveway removing the dashboard from a 2008 Nissan. An investigation determined the auto was stolen and the defendant was placed into police custody without incident, according to police. The vehicle along with two other vehicles at the location were impounded for further investigation.

Pedro Arguinzoni is charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd Degree, Illegal Possession of Vehicle ID, and Auto Stripping.
