Vacuum Cleaner Thief Strikes in Medford

The police request the public’s help to identify and locate a man who stole merchandise from a store in Medford at 9:30 p.m. on June 2.

Detectives report a white male entered the Target, located at 2975 Horseblock Road in Medford, and put two 12-packs of Smart Water and a vacuum cleaner thiefDyson vacuum cleaner into a shopping cart and exited the store, without stopping at the cash register to pay.

Police allege that the suspect may have stolen another Dyson vacuum cleaner one week earlier. He is described as a white male with thinning hair and a medium build. He was wearing a bright green hooded sweatshirt with a logo on the front.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
