Unconscious Couple In Merrick Revived by Police Medics

Detectives report the details of two possible drug overdoses that occurred in Merrick at 6:40 p.m. on June 10.

According to the police, who responded to a call from a residence on Washington Street with medical technicians, upon arrival they found a male, 26 and a female, 21, who were both unconscious and breathing shallowly. The medical technicians administered Narcan to the unconscious male, informing the police officers that both people were unconscious due to heroine overdoses. The police officers then administered Narcan to the 21 year-old female subject, who responded quickly, becoming alert and responsive. Both victims were transported by police to the Nassau University Medical Center for further evaluation and treatment.
