Candidate Bruce Blakeman (R)
Bruce A. Blakeman is the Republican, Conservative and Independence nominee for New York’s Fourth Congressional District. Blakeman, of Long Beach, is the former Presiding Officer (Speaker) of the Nassau County Legislature. He was elected as a Legislator from District 7. Once in Congress, he will create jobs, cut taxes and protect America from ISIS, Ebola and other threats. He believes it is important we elect someone who will fight for the hard-working families and taxpayers of Nassau County. He earned a Bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University and a JD from California Western School of Law.
Candidate Kathleen Rice (D)
District Attorney Kathleen Rice is a tough, independent prosecutor who in 2005 became the first woman elected DA in Long Island history. As DA Kathleen has taken on drunk driving, violent crime and corruption, convicting more than 100 officials of violating the public’s trust. Now, Kathleen is running for Congress so she can help restore access to the American Dream by supporting small businesses and putting people back to work, making college more affordable, and protecting women’s rights. Kathleen is an independent problem solver who will break through the gridlock in Washington and get things done for our district.
