Two Men Arrested for Shooting in North Amityville


Police reported the arrest of two men for the shooting of a third man thatoccurred at 3:15 p.m. on June 30, in West Hempstead.

According to detectives, Troy Robinson was shot in Bolden Mack Park on Great Neck Road in North Amityville, on June 30. He was taken by an acquaintance to the North Amityville Fire Department and from there he was transported by Fire Department personnel to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip. At the hospital he was treated and later released.

Following the investigation, Dashawn Kee, of 71 Maple Lane, North Amityville, and Kenyatta Weston, of 80 Scudder Avenue, Copiague, were arrested for the shooting and charged with 2nd degree assault. Kee, 22, and Weston, 19, were both scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on July 3.
