Shots Fired In Freeport, Two Arrested

Two men were arrested and charged with reckless endangerment on August 11, after police say one drove a car as the other attempted to shoot a male victim in Freeport.

On August 10 at 1:49 p.m., police say 22-year-old Shaheem K. Allen of Freeport fired three shots from a .45 caliber handgun out of the passenger window of a car driven by Michael A. Wright, 27, of Roosevelt. The shots were aimed at a 17-year-old male in front of 91 E. Milton St. in Freeport, according to police. 

No injuries were reported.

Allen is additionally charged with Criminal Possession of a Firearm.
