Setauket Hit-And-Run Driver Sought

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the woman who was involved in a hit-and-run crash in Setauket earlier this month.

A woman was driving a 2014 Kia eastbound on Route 347, just east of Pond Path, when her vehicle was struck by a white Mercedes SUV on August 1, 2014 at approximately 9:05 p.m. Both vehicles pulled into a nearby gas station and then the driver of the Mercedes fled the scene prior to police arrival. The Mercedes, driven by a white woman with long, brown hair and a tattoo on her right ankle, was bearing a stolen New York license plate, AFN 4311, and was damaged on the driver’s side.
