Robbery at Chase Bank in Franklin Square

Detectives are requesting help from the public in investigating a robbery that occurred in Franklin Square on 3:15 p.m. on July 9.

According to detectives, a male subject described as black, mid 30s, 6’tall, wearing wrap-around glasses and a mask, a white baseball cap, white shirt, blue and white plaid pajama pants, and black converse sneakers, entered the J.P. Morgan Chase bank located at 925 Hempstead Turnpike, and produced a note to a teller demanding cash. There were seven employees and two customers present in the bank at the time. The subject obtained an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency and was last seen fleeing, on foot, through a rear parking lots towards Sobo Avenue. There were no injuries reported.
