Real Estate Expo

relestateexpoThe real estate community and those who serve and benefit from it will come together at the Long Island Commercial Real Estate Expo, Wednesday, March 16, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Huntington Hilton in Melville. The expo is dedicated to improving economic activity on Long Island through the commercial real estate industry. The show, for Long Island and produced by Long Islanders, offers unique programs featuring business leaders who will discuss issues that affect the business climate.

“Even though our event says commercial real estate, the information shared is valuable to all types of business professionals,” said Mark Neuwirt, president of Expos Your Business in Jericho, a trade show producer of several highly successful events.

Opportunities range from high-level networking to extensive learning through seminars and panel discussions, as well as meeting with over 100 exhibitors.

The day kicks off with an executive breakfast and two expert panels to discuss funding for business growth: “Access to Capital” and “Tax Incentives & Grants.” The former starts at 8:30 a.m. After an opening “state of capital on Long Island” overview by Roslyn Goldmacher of the Long Island Development Corporation (LIDC), she and Andrew Saluk of NEFCU, and Michael Bellissimo of ACRES Capital, will offer expert advice about the latest funding programs and available investment and loan programs.

The second panel at 9:15 a.m. includes speakers Dan Deegan of Forchelli Curto Deegan, David Hunt of Hunt Commercial Services, and Nick Terzulli of Nassau County Industrial Development Agency, with moderator Anthony Manetta of Standard Advisors Group.

The exhibitor hall opens at 10 am. In addition, there will be 10 seminars throughout the day, covering “Retail Trends,” “Workplace Planning Strategy,” “Environmental Contamination,” “Energy,” “Eliminating Tax Liability on Property Sales,” “Cyber-security,” and more.
