This past Saturday, May 11, Long Island residents were able to celebrate Mother’s Day early with a Women’s Health Expo hosted by ProHEALTH Care.
The day started with a 9 a.m. Zumba class followed by a handful of lectures, led by eight specialized female doctors:
- How to keep your skin in the game
- Sexual health at any age
- Beauty from within: eating clean
- Pre- and post-menopause
- Keeping fit at any age
- How to prevent and treat cancer and other serious illnesses
Throughout the day, attendees had the opportunity to participate in silent auctions, which included PGA tickets, signed hockey memorabilia, beauty services, raffles along pop-up shops from local boutiques, massages and free health screenings.
Those who purchased the VIP tickets had the opportunity to meet celebrity guest, Monique Gabriela Curnen, lead actress of Starz hit TV show Powers.
The Women’s Health Expo is the first initiative of ProHEALTH Care’s Phamily Circle, a community health and charitable giving initiative rooted in Fundrasing, Awareness and Medicine. The #ProWOMAN event benefited Bethany House, a charity for homeless women and children in Long Island.
