Bradley Panetta, director of the Town of Oyster Bay Animal Shelter, says the following pets are available for adoption at the shelter, located at 150 Miller Pl., Syosset. The shelter is open from Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Call 516-677-5784 and ask for them by number.

TINSEL #170670:

We have a very handsome and friendly, 8-year-old, neutered male, that is 8 years old and is now ready for adoption. Since arriving at the shelter as a stray in early December from an industrial garage he has been given the TLC treatment and has made us all fall in love with him. It is now time for him to start the next part of his journey and find a loving home of his own. Hoping everyone shares Tinsel story to make his journey home a quick one.

COLE #170647:

Aged 8 months, he was surrendered to the shelter with his littermate, Bear, when their owner who found them as babies was unable to find homes for them on her own. Cole is a black, domestic short-haired male that is ready for adoption. Cole has been neutered, up to date on all his vaccines and is microchipped.

BEAR #170646:

Here we have the twin brother of Cole. Bear was surrendered to the shelter with Cole by his owner when she could no longer take care of both of them. She had them from when they were babies, and had hopes of getting them adopted. Bear is a black domestic short-hair, 8 months old. He is neutered, up to date on all his vaccines and microchipped. What both of these boys need is a chance to finally be adopted into a family that will love and care for them forever.

NANA #180074:

Came to the shelter in late February. Her owner was moving and could not take her. She is a 7-year-old, gray domestic short-haired female. Nana is very vocal and very loving. She is a great companion for someone that loves attention from their cat. Nana is spayed, up to date on a her vaccines, microchipped and oh so ready to be in a home again where she can spoil her new owner.

BUSTER #170668:

This 3-year-old neutered male shepherd mix was surrendered to the shelter due to a family hardship. They felt that the best life for their dog would be with new owners who had the time to give the love and care every animal deserves. Buster is a highly social and energetic dog that gets along with other dogs and children. He is a big boy weighing 66 pounds and he loves to run and play with toys. A meet and greet is always required if you already have a dog.

TINY BUBBLES #180075:

Tiny Bubbles

A 5-year-old calico tabby female whose father was a Maine Coon. She has some characteristics of her dad which makes her very beautiful. Came to the shelter in mid-February and is now ready for adoption. Tiny Bubbles is now spayed, up to date on all her vaccines and micro chipped. She is a shy little girl who curls up on your lap and just wants to know that she is safe and loved. She is going to be a great friend to someone who wants to curl up and snuggle with her.

PATCHES #170553:

Was surrendered to the shelter in early October as his owners were moving and could not take him with them. This 2-year-old that is very lovable and affectionate. He would do best as an only pet, and with older children. Patches would be a wonderful companion to someone who is looking for a charming young man whose life was turned upside down. Black cats are the hardest to adopt but this guy is a gem who is just waiting to found. Patches is up to date on all his vaccines, neutered and microchipped. All he is waiting for is a special someone to love him forever.
