Long Island Children’s Museum reopens following its annual Fall Fix Up period just in time to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. September 15 was chosen as the starting point for the month-long celebration because it is the anniversary of independence of five Latin American countries: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. 2018 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of this cultural celebration.

Join in the fun as you learn about Hispanic art traditions and cuisine.
