Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty, one of the nation’s leading Realtors, was the proud title sponsor of the fifth annual Pink Aid Luncheon and Celebration of Life Fashion Show, hosted at Mitchell’s clothing store in Huntington. The luncheon and fashion show, held during Breast Cancer Awareness Month each year, raises funds to help underserved local women survive breast cancer treatment with support and dignity and provide important screening to women in financial need. Pink Aid also seeks to empower all breast cancer survivors to heal by helping and inspiring others. This year’s event raised more than $500,000 in support of the Pink Aid mission.

Daniel Gale’s president and chairman Patricia J. Petersen served as the 2018 Luncheon Chair, with Daniel Gale’s additionally represented by a team of more than a dozen volunteers and supporters who gave their time and resources to help make the day a success. Committee chairs included Bonnie Williamson, Katherine Cirelli and Melissa Stark of Daniel Gale’s.

“Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty and Pat Petersen have been enthusiastically supporting Pink Aid since its first luncheon and fashion show in 2013,” said Daniel Gale’s CEO Deirdre O’Connell. “As an organization and as individuals, Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty is deeply committed to our local communities and supports dozens of nonprofit community institutions and groups that serve Long Island. Pink Aid Long Island is an important and invaluable resource to our Long Island neighbors, friends and family and we are exceedingly proud to play a key role in its success.”

Event highlights included a record-breaking Live Auction to raise funds to provide emergency financial assistance to women in need across Long Island and the Celebration of Life Fashion Show, where eleven survivors modeled designer fashions, followed by a standing ovation-inducing final loop of 25 alumnae models in attendance from past Pink Aid events.
