Carriage Services, Inc. (NYSE: CSV) has announced its partnership with Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Homes. Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Homes date back to 1924 when Thomas F. Dalton began serving the families of Floral Park operating from a single facility. Tim Dalton and Beth Dalton-Costello, third-generation Daltons, entered the family business in 1977 and 1983 respectively and later transitioned into owners of the business.

“The partnership with Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Homes enhances our portfolio of businesses in the strategic market of Long Island and will accelerate the second five year timeframe of our Good To Great Journey,” Mel Payne, chairman and CEO of Carriage Services stated. “We are delighted to have continuity of Dalton Family involvement in the business and community with Beth staying on under a five-year Employment Agreement.”

Carriage Services is a leading provider of deathcare services and merchandise in the United States. Carriage operates 179 funeral homes in 29 states and 32 cemeteries in 11 states.

“Our priorities have always been to the families we serve,” Beth Dalton-Costello said. “It is vital to my cousin Tim and I that we listen to and fulfill the families’ needs and requirements during their most difficult time.

Under the Daltons leadership, the business has grown to the surrounding communities and now serves more than 900 client families annually through their five chapels.

“We feel it is a privilege to be chosen by a family and take the trust they place in us with profound seriousness,” added Dalton Costello. “When it was time to ensure that the Dalton Funeral Homes and our philosophy of service would continue to be available to our communities, we sought out the Carriage family as the best possible partner we could choose.”
