Art in Action, Nassau County Museum of Art’s Earth Day program for family groups of all ages, drew a record-breaking crowd of 750 people to an afternoon devoted to arts, science and the environment.
The event included participation by animals from the Science Museum of Long Island and members of the New York Cosmos

team who helped youngsters shoot goals with a giant soccer ball they had created from recycled plastic bags.
Admission to the museum and to Art in Action was free through the Blue Ocean sponsorship. The company sponsored the Earth Day celebration to commemorate the opening of its new East Hills office across the street from the museum at 2200 Northern Boulevard, Suite 200.
Nassau County Museum of Art is located at One Museum Drive, Roslyn Harbor, off Northern Boulevard, just west of Glen Cove Road. For information about the museum’s exhibitions and public events visit the website at www.nassaumuseum.org or call 516-484-9337.
