Events follow safety protocols and social distancing guidelines

The weather may be cold outside, but the entire family will feel warm all over with weekend January character brunches, featuring children’s favorite princesses, princes, pets and more at the Milleridge Inn in Jericho.

The brunches will take place each Saturday and Sunday through Jan. 31. Seven seatings will be offered each date to ensure that guests are safe and in compliance with COVID-19 guidelines. What’s more, characters and staff will be wearing face masks and observe social distancing guidelines.

Brunch seatings will be offered each Saturday and Sunday in January at 9 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 10 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 11 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and noon. The dates and characters scheduled to appear at the character brunches are as follows:

Jan. 16-17: Beauty Princess.
Jan. 23-24: Pups on Patrol.
Jan. 30-31: Snow Sisters and the Reindeer Prince.

“This is a difficult time for families, especially our children,” observed Butch Yamali, the president and owner of the Milleridge Inn. “Many children are not attending school in person, and a host of recreational and social activities have either been severely limited or cancelled. We decided to put together the character brunches as one way to bring joy and a sense of normalcy to kids’ lives during this very difficult time.”

“One of the most important priorities for us at the Milleridge during the character brunches, as well as all of our events, is to ensure the health and safety of our guests,” said Yamali. “Our facility follows rigorous sanitization protocols, we observe all social distancing requirements, provide hand sanitizing stations and all staff and guests must wear masks at the Milleridge. What’s more, as part of the character brunch experience, we will provide safe photographs with the characters for kids of all ages, requiring both characters and quests to utilize masks and observe social distancing. In short, we are demonstrating that fun and safety can go hand-in-hand.”

Don’t forget to come visit the festive and fun Milleridge Shops at the Milleridge Village. The finest bakery goods, candy, gifts and more are available during and after brunch, as well as during regular shopping hours.
