Merrick Bank Robbed

A Merrick bank was robbed on August 4.

Police say at 5:45 p.m., two male black subjects entered through the rear entrance of the Capital One Bank, located at 35 Merrick Avenue. Both subjects displayed handguns as they demanded money from the teller, according to police, then fled on foot through the rear door with an unknown amount of cash.

There were four employees present at the time of the incident and no injuries reported. Police say the first subject is described as mid-twenties, 5’4”-5’6” tall, wearing a baseball cap, and long sleeve red shirt. The second subject is described as mid-twenties 5’8”- 5’9” tall, wearing a gray shirt and blue bucket style hat.
