Meet The Cast Of Hairspray At The Argyle Theatre

Hairspray, the beloved musical based on John Waters’ 1988 dance comedy film, is playing at the newly renovated and historic Argyle Theatre on Main Street in the Village of Babylon through August 26.

Watch Tracy Trunblad, played by Katy Geraghty, pursue stardom as a dancer on a local TV show and rally against racial segregation in 1962 Baltimore.

After its first season on Broadway in 2002, Hairspray took home eight Tony Awards in 2003, including Best Musical, Best Original Score and Best Direction of a Musical. Hairspray is one of the most widely produced musicals today because of its wit, charm and high-energy message of equal rights for all.
