Man Killed in Stony Brook Hit-and-Run Crash

Vehicular Crime Unit detectives are investigating a hit-and-run crash that killed a man in Stony Brook on Wednesday night.

According to police, Arlem G. Ayzen, 25, was rollerblading on North Country Road when he was struck by a vehicle that was traveling eastbound, also on North Counrty Road. The driver, whose vehicle was described as a dark-colored SUV, with front-end damage, fled the scene at 10:55 p.m. June 9.

Ayzen, of Brooklyn, was a graduate student at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He was transported via Stony Brook Rescue to Stony Brook University Hospital where he died from his injuries.
