Man Found Shot in Car in Hempstead

The police are investigating a homicide which occurred on July 5, at 1:20 a.m. in Hempstead.

According to detectives, patrol officers responded to a call of shots fired at 137 Princeton Street in Hempstead. Upon their arrival, police discovered a male victim, Shawn T. Boone, 26, in a vehicle with a gunshot would. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:35 a.m by Long Island Jewish Hospital ambulance personnel.
