Police are investigating a robbery that occurred on May 16 at 8 p.m. in Oyster Bay.
Police say the 34-year-old male victim was approached by four men as he walked on Hamilton Avenue. The first man displayed a black-colored semi-automatic handgun, placed it to the victim’s neck and demanded money.
As the victim complied, the man grabbed the victim’s shoulder and with a closed fist struck the victim in the face.
The men are described only as three black men and one unknown male, wearing dark clothing and baseball style hats. They fled the scene northbound on Hamilton Avenue and then westbound on Railroad Avenue in a dark colored four-door sedan. The proceeds were a cellular telephone and an undetermined amount of cash. No injuries were reported.
