LIU Post Swimming Lands Ten On CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams

The LIU Post Women’s Team was recently recognized as the top academic swimming program in Division II by the CSCAA. It compiled a 3.73 GPA as a whole.

Recently, ten members of the LIU Post women’s swimming team were dubbed CSCAA Scholar All-Americans. In all, the Pioneers had a nation-best eight first-team choices and two honorable mention picks.
To qualify for CSCAA Scholar All-America recognition, a student-athlete must achieve a grade-point average of 3.5 or better, in addition to qualifying and competing at the NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships. Meanwhile, the honorable mention selections are pooled together from the athletes who raced to an NCAA “B” cut and met the minimum 3.5 GPA in the process.
The eight first-team honorees were senior Tamara Garriock (Duncan, British Columbia, Canada), juniors Courtney Delehanty (Oceanport, N.J.)Johanna Pettersson (Kungalv, Sweden) and Carolin Rademacher (Isernhagen, Germany), and sophomores Marthe Soerensen (Stavanger, Norway)Joyce Kwok(Middle Village, N.Y.)Seren Jones (Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom) and Meghan Brazier (West Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada).
Additionally, the duo of juniors Malin Hedberg (Vasteras, Sweden) and Angelica Norrena (Solna, Sweden) garnered honorable mention accolades for the second year in a row.
The green and gold were also recognized as the top academic swimming program in Division II by the CSCAA. It compiled a 3.73 GPA as a whole.
