The Elmont community would like to thank the New York Islanders for their generous donation of $100,000.

The scholars in the Elmont Union Free School District and Elmont and Sewanhaka High Schools will each benefit. A pair of $50,000 checks were presented to each of the high schools.

This money will help the school district provide wi-fi service to students to continue their education during COVID-19 from home. The funds will also provide support for English Language and Foreign Language Arts enrichment.
