The proceeds went to assist some 1,200 people with developmental disabilities, mental retardation and autism who receive services from this Garden City-based agency launched 45 years ago by Queens Courier newspaper publisher Victoria Schneps with help from renowned television journalist Geraldo Rivera.

WABC Radio (770AM) cosponsored the event and Rivera interviewed Santino and other guests during a live radio broadcast from the golf tournament site.
