Based on a true story, Godfather of Harlem follows crime boss Bumpy Johnson (Whitaker) and his struggle for control over his neighborhood — battling the Cuban mob, the CIA, and his own demons — after returning home in the early 1960s following 11 years in prison. Prior to the screening, hear Whitaker and Goldberg discuss the gripping new season — the inspiration for the series, Whitaker’s remarkable character and transformation, stories from behind the scenes, and more.
