glamorousgraffitiThe 2016 Nassau County Art Museum’s Ball, themed “An Evening of Glamorous Graffiti” is the museum’s major annual fundraiser. This year’s event drew its design inspiration from vibrant and edgy graffiti street art of its current exhibition by Kenny Scharf. A new feature of this year’s ball was Late Cosmic Party, an after-party specifically for the ball’s younger attendees.

The black-tie event helps to support the museum’s ambitious schedule of exhibitions, as well as public and school programming.

An Evening of Glamorous Graffiti was successfully chaired by Museum Board President Angela Susan Anton, who is also the publisher of Anton Media Group. The journal committee was chaired by Patricia Janco-Tupper and Rebecca Creavin, both of Wells Fargo. Anton and her committee carried the ball’s theme with pops of color and industrial décor objects throughout the gala, even extending into the festive attire worn by many of the guests.
