The musical precursors to Rodrigo y Gabriela, the Gipsy Kings got the whole flamenco crossover movement back in 1989 when the group’s self-titled album spent 40 weeks on the charts. Over time, the Kings, (or Los Reyes as they were originally known), have gone on to work with myriad artists including Ziggy Marley, Joan Baez and Bananarama. The fleet-fingered Spaniards are currently out in support of a live album released earlier this year.
