What do Paul McCartney, Billy Joel, Stevie Wonder, John Mayer, Bruce Springsteen, Marc Anthony, Jennifer Lopez, Gloria Estefan, Ray Charles and many other world famous artists have in common?
They have all called on members of the Funk Filharmonik to play in their bands. Collectively and individually the members of “The Funk Band” have worked with a who’s who list of rock, pop, blues, jazz funk, soul, and R&B giants over the past 30 years, in the studio, and on stage at events ranging from international outdoor festivals to world class concert halls, stadiums, even the White House lawn.
For the past 29 years, the 11-piece Funk Filharmonik band has featured some of Long Island’s most renowned musicians, attracting three generations of funk, jazz, soul, latin and R & B fans, listeners and dancers.

On Wednesday, Nov. 25 at 8 p.m., Funk Filharmonik’s 30th anniversary Funksgiving show will be taking place at the Madison Theater at Molloy College, 1000 Hempstead Ave., Rockville Centre. Doors open at 7 p.m. Advance reserved seating tickets are $30 and $40 and available by calling the box office at 516-323-4444 or by visiting www.madisontheatreny.org or www.funkfilharmonik.com.
