After shuttering doors in Massapequa, on Nov. 10, 2014, J&B Restaurant Partners, a New York-based Friendly’s franchisee that owns and operates Friendly’s restaurants across the state, announced that it will be closing another seven locations across Long Island. On Monday, Jan. 5, 2015, J&B Restaurant Partners announced the closing of its locations at 361 Larkfield Rd. in East Northport; 522 East Main St. in Patchogue; 298 Montauk Ave. in Bayshore; 1187 Wantagh Ave. in North Wantagh; 1194 Deer Park Ave. in North Babylon; 292 Little East Neck Rd. in West Babylon and 330 Fulton St. in Farmingdale.

“These closings are regrettable,” said J&B representatives, however the franchisee concluded that continuing operations was no longer viable. J&B Restaurant Partners of Long Island said it values its guests and thanks them for their years of patronage. In addition, customers can still dine at one of the 18 Friendly’s restaurants in Nassau and Suffolk counties that are still operating.
