Freeport Teen Robbed At Knifepoint

Police are looking for the man who robbed a Freeport teen at knifepoint on May 12 after she exited her school bus at 3:15 p.m.

The 14-year-old victim was walking home on Southside Avenue near Guy Lombardo Avenue when she was approached by a black man armed with a red-handled knife. After demanding her gold necklace, the man forcibly removed it from her neck and fled westbound on Southside Avenue.

The uninjured victim further described the subject as being dark-skinned, about 20-25 years old, 5’4” tall with a medium build. He was wearing dark colored shorts, a dark tank top and a white towel that was wrapped around his head.

Detectives request anyone with information regarding this Robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-8477. All callers will remain anonymous.
