There are dozens of spectacular fireworks displays around the Island this summer. Most are free to view and some are accompanied by festivals and patriotic music. See our full 2017 listing below.

Thursday, June 29

Connetquot River Fireworks @ 9:15 p.m.

Saturday, July 1

Celebrate America Fireworks @ 6 p.m.

Free event • Eisenhower Park Parking Field 6/6A

TD Bank “Celebrate America Fireworks and Show” (starts 6 p.m.)

Eisenhower Park, 1899 Hempstead Turnpike, East Meadow, NY 11554

East Hills Fireworks @ 9:15 p.m.

Fireworks festivities will begin at 6 p.m. on the great lawn with DJ music and barbecue dinner menu provided by The Grille. Live music sponsored by Town of North Hempstead begins at 7 p.m.

Fireworks display begins after dark at 9:15 p.m.

Entrance to the great lawn for residents only.

East Northport Fireworks @ 9:30 p.m.

The 26th Annual St. Anthony’s Family Feast & Festival takes place Wednesday, June 28 through Sunday, July 2 on the Trinity Regional School grounds, Fifth Avenue, East Northport.

There will be exciting rides and games, food and refreshments, fireworks, music entertainment, contests and more.


  • Wednesday and Thursday from 6 to 11 p.m.
  • Friday and Saturday from 6 to 11:30 p.m.
  • Sunday from 3 to 9 p.m.

Two spectacular nights of fireworks take place on Wednesday, June 28 and Saturday, July 1. (Rain dates are Thursday, June 29 and Sunday, July 2)

Sag Harbor Fireworks @ 9:30 p.m.

Grucci fireworks display begins at 9:30 p.m. For best viewing with family and friends, pack a picnic basket and bring a blanket to Marine Park or Havens Beach.

Sunday, July 2

Orient Fireworks @ 9 p.m.

This year’s Orient Harbor July 2nd Fireworks Show is brought to you by the Orient Harbor July 4th Festivities, Inc. A newly formed non-profit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to honor our nation’s history and its military service members with an annual display for the benefit of the communities surrounding Orient Harbor.

Grucci fireworks display begins at 9:15 p.m. Viewable from around the harbor and from Orient Yacht Club for members only.

Monday, July 3

Port Jeff Fireworks @ 9:30 p.m.

Fireworks display begins at 9:30 p.m. The display can be viewed at the Village of Port Jefferson’s East and West Beaches. Residents only.

Tuesday, July 4

Glen Cove July 4th Celebration @ 9:15 p.m.

The City of Glen Cove announces its annual July 4th festivities will feature great music, fireworks and a children’s bike parade.

Bikes, scooters, wagons, strollers and battery-powered vehicles roll down the streets at 10 a.m. from Robert M. Finley Middle School as children enjoy riding through downtown Glen Cove to the Village Square with their spirited energy and patriotism in full view.

At 7:30 p.m. there will be a Northwinds Symphonic Band concert at Morgan Memorial Park.

Grucci fireworks display begins at 9:15 p.m. accompanied by symphonic music.

In the event of rain, the concert will be held indoors at St. Patrick’s Church Parish Hall on July 4th and the fireworks will be rescheduled for Tuesday, July 5 at 9:15 p.m.

Bald Hill Fireworks @ 5 p.m.

July 4th Independence Day Celebration with live music from Back Trax and Billy Mira & The Hitmen.

Doors open at 5 p.m. World class Grucci fireworks display begins at at 9:15 p.m. Admission to the venue is free for the whole family.

Montauk Fireworks @ 9 p.m.

Montauk Independence Day Celebration with Grucci fireworks takes place over Umbrella Beach (Kirk Park Beach) beginning at 9 p.m.

Jones Beach Fireworks @ 9:30 p.m.

Jones Beach State Park hosts the Astoria Bank July 4th fireworks show which is set to a musical array of patriotic songs. Arrive early for a prime seat on the Field 4 beachfront and to avoid traffic delays. The 30-minute fireworks display is viewable from all parking fields. No rain date is scheduled.

Friday, July 7

Long Beach Fireworks @ approx. 9 p.m.

The City of Long Beach’s Fireworks Extravaganza will take place on Friday, July 7, beginning at 3 p.m. with a multitude of craft and food vendors lining the boardwalk between Long Beach Boulevard and Riverside Boulevard.

At 8 p.m. the concert, on Long Beach Boulevard and the beach, will begin. This year’s musical entertainment is by New York Minute featuring the Gloria Estefan Tribute Show. Get your spot on the boardwalk early and bring your beach chairs!

The colorful pyrotechnics display by Bay Fireworks will begin at dark from a barge in the ocean and can be seen throughout the city. You will be able to observe the stunning fireworks display along the entire boardwalk and on the beaches. Shuttle buses will be available.

The fireworks rain date is Saturday, July 8.

Saturday, July 8

Point Lookout Fireworks @ 9 p.m.

The annual Town of Hempstead Independence Day celebration with a “Salute to Veterans” headliner concert starring Jerrod Niemann and Bay Fireworks. Parking and admission to this event are free.

Fireworks display begins around 9 p.m.

Rain date: Sunday, July 9, with Van Halen tribute band Completely Unchained.

Rockville Centre Fireworks @ 9 p.m.

Fireworks display will begin after dark at approximately 9:15 p.m.

Tuesday, July 11

TOB Salute to America Fireworks @ 9:45 p.m.

Salute to America SOUTHBOUND, a country tribute to America • John J. Burns Park

Outdoor concerts begin at 8 p.m., weather permitting. Bring your picnic blankets and beach chairs. Call 516-797-7900 for updated information.

Saturday, July 15

Concert in the Park Fireworks @ 10 p.m.

Join the Islip Arts Council and thousands of your fellow Long Islanders to “Celebrate Our Hometown Heroes” at Long Island’s premier summer concert under the stars on Saturday night, July 15, at 8 p.m.

The Long Island Concert Orchestra, led by world-renowned conductor David Stewart Wiley, will fill the evening with beautiful music.

Huntington Fireworks @ 9 p.m.

The Annual Huntington Manor Fire Department Fireman’s Fair will be held July 18 through the July 22 at Stimson Middle School, Oakwood Rd., Huntington Station. The Firefighters Parade will be Wednesday, July 19, at 7 p.m.

Fireworks displays begin after dark on Wednesday, July 19 through Saturday, July 22.

Saturday, September 2

Island Park Fireworks @ 9 p.m.

Island Park’s Labor Day Celebration takes place at Masone Beach. Grucci Fireworks display begins at 9 p.m.
