Everything You Wanted To Know About Show Car Judging

The 6th annual “Everything you wanted to know about how the pros judge a show car… but were afraid to ask” event takes place Saturday, March 25, from 2 – 5 p.m. at Collector Car Showcase in Oyster Bay.

There you will learn how a team of judges inspect, analyze and score a show car on a 100 point scale. The lecture by guest speaker Mike Hayde will cover all aspects of scoring including body work, interior, brightwork, glass, authenticity, documentation and the differences between stock and modified classes.

If you’re a competitor looking to improve your score then this lecture is a must attend event. This is also an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in becoming a judge. $10 per person includes admission to Collector Car Showcase, free museum tour, judging lecture and seminar, Q-and-A, free light buffet and refreshments. There will also be a trivia contest with prizes.

Check www.nyautofest.com for further details, directions and to pre-register.
