Walt Whitman Shops to Host WBAB & WBLI’s Touch-A-Truck Event
Walt Whitman Shops is proud to host this year’s Touch-A-Truck Long Island, presented by WBAB and BLI on Saturday, Nov. 2 in the Walt Whitman Shops parking area nearest Macy’s and Lord & Taylor from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“Walt Whitman Shops is proud to host Touch-A-Truck Long Island,” said Jessica Ekin, Director of Marketing and Business Development. “This is a wonderful opportunity for families and children to experience unique vehicles and trucks, celebrate family health and support Island Harvest, which provides food and services for those in need on Long Island.”
The event will include up-close encounters with all kinds of oversized unique and one-of-a-kind vehicles including big rigs, fire trucks, antique military vehicles, police and emergency rescue vehicles, construction equipment, BD-5 Aircraft and more. Attendees can also learn about family health from local exhibitors and vendors at the Family Health Fair.
There is no admission fee for this event, however donations of non-perishable food items will be collected to Stuff-A-Truck for the Island Harvest. Kids will also be entertained with costumed characters, face painting, cotton candy, games, moon bounces, inflatable activities and prizes and much more!
Children or adults with special needs or sensitive ears are invited to arrive from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. to enjoy “Noise-Free ‘Til Noon.”
