On Saturday, Dec. 21, from 2 to 4 p.m., Puppy Mill Free Long Island and animal rights activists will bring awareness to puppy mills with a protest outside of Luxury Puppies, 189 Merrick Rd., Amityville. The group seeks to educate consumers about the horrors of puppy mills and the role pet stores play in the problem.
