Free Film Screening

On January 18, at 1 p.m., at the Levittown Public Library (516-731-5728, ext. 226), in honor of Long Island’s Film Archivist and Preservationist John Carpenter’s 17th year educating and entertaining the communities with rare and unseen classic films, Carpenter will present to see and then discuss James Cagney’s very first film Sinners Holiday (1930), in which he plays a killer with a “momma’s boy” complex.

The rare, unseen for decades, Our Gang feature Fish Hooky and original ’30s Popeye cartoon King of the Mardi Gras will also be screened.
