Widely regarded as the most influential preacher of the 20th century, William Franklin Graham Jr., known as Billy Graham, died today at age 99 at his home in North Carolina. He spent his life traveling the world and spreading his message of evangelical Christianity.

In September of 1990, Graham drew thousands of Long Islanders to a series of five meetings he held at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Massapequa resident Richard Salemier shares a photo of the event in remembrance of Graham.
