Arrest Made In Nail Salon Robberies

An Islip man was arrested  on May 13 for multiple nail salon robberies in December, according to police.

Police say Scimeca entered the following salons, displayed a gun and demanded money from the registers:

Dec. 23 –  Tiffany’s Nail & Spa Palace, located at 120 Rockaway Avenue in Valley Stream

Dec. 26 – Angel Nail & Spa, located at 679 Hempstead Turnpike in Franklin Square

Dec. 27 – Nail Fetish, located at 2 Rockaway Avenue in Valley Stream

Dec. 28 – Tony’s Angel Nails, located at 3030 Merrick Road in East Meadow

Dec. 30 – Cleo Nails & Spa, located at 2044 Hillside Avenue in New Hyde Park.

Scimeca is being charged with 5 counts of robbery.
