soundsOWWR, Old Westbury Web Radio, the Glen Cove Downtown Business Improvement District, and the City of Glen Cove invite you to Downtown Sounds 2014. Downtown Sounds 2014 is a free concert series held every Friday night in July and August in Glen Cove, from 7:30 until 10 PM, at the Glen Cove Village Square, on the corners of Glen, and School Streets. Friday August 29TH, groove through the sixties, and boogie through the seventies with Soul Sound Revue as we close the Downtown Sounds 2014 season.

Soul Sound Revue by far the hottest Motown show this side of Detroit performs the greatest hits in the true Motown tradition. Soul Sound Revue recreates the dynamic vocal harmonies and musical design of classic Motown groups of the sixties, seventies, and eighties: The Four Tops, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder, The Supremes, and many more. The group Soul Sound Revue currently performs the most popular dance hits spanning four decades. Soul Sound Revue has performed with a variety of Detroit’s greats such as, The Temptations, The Marvelettes, The Chi-Lites and Wilson Pickett. The group also shared the stage with The Drifters, Little Anthony and the Imperials, Shirley Austin Reed & The Shirrells, James Cotton and Tower of Power, to name a few.
Downtown Sounds 2014 has free parking in nearby municipal garages and some seating is provided. Bringing a lawn chair is recommended. The rain location for Downtown Sounds 2014 is the Wunsch Arts Center-Robert M. Finley Middle School, Robert M. Finley Middle School, 1 Forest Avenue, Glen Cove, NY.
