Discover “Living Dreams” At Hicks Nurseries’ Flower & Garden Show

Hicks Nurseries will host its 27th annual Flower & Garden Show from Thursday, March 9, through Sunday, March 26, at the nursery in Westbury. The show will feature expertly designed gardens that will engage your imagination with playful displays that mimic what you might see while dreaming.

Garden displays will include:

• Drop straight into a world of fairies and underground hobbits as you walk through the Under the Hills Garden. A lifelike bungalow carved out of the hillside creates the perfect playground for these fanciful creatures.

• The Enchanted Castle Garden is a formal display of foliage and flowers that is anchored by a magnificent courtyard fountain. Blooming hydrangeas and rhododendrons fill the garden with color. Look for the floral Rapunzel gazing down from her castle.

• Zootopiary is a garden display of skillfully crafted living sculpture. Topiary animals and flowers tower over colorful displays of annual and foliage plants.

• This year’s “Under the Sea Garden” is a marvelous fantasy of plants and flowers to delight and amuse you. Flowing water, drifting seaweed and magical lights all create an out-of-this-world experience.

• Gardening Upside Down and Inside Out is a collection of displays that show the limitless possibilities of how you can enjoy the fun of gardening in new and unexpected ways.

This year, Hicks Nurseries’ Flower & Garden Show celebrates “Living Dreams.” Visitors to the 27th annual Flower Show will discover gardens that engage your imagination and celebrate your dreams. The show is free and indoors, open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Fridays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

During the 2017 Flower & Garden Show, Hicks will feature more than 20 free seminars about popular gardening concepts including organic lawn care, container gardening, pruning and more.
